Alumni Association

The Alumni Association is comprised of successful CAG graduates, members of the CAG Sunday Fellowship, the general community and other persons supportive of making the community an enjoyable and safe environment.

ALL PERSONS INTERESTED IN BEING SUPPORTIVE OF THE COMMUNITY AND PURPOSE OF CAG ARE INVITED TO BECOME ARE INVITED TO BECOME MEMBERS OF THE ASSOCIATION AND ENJOY ALL PRIVILEGES BESTOWED UPON SUCH MEMBERS.

The Alumni was formed in 1999 and has been very active as part of the CAG organization, sponsoring social and recreational events year-round. Members represent a cadre of committed individuals who consistently offer their talents and provide financial support as a means of giving back to a community they consider to have been very generous to them in their time of need.

Alumni serve as mentors to current and former CAG clients by exhibiting a positive attitude and exemplary behavior which produces a successful recovery experience.

They plan, host and sponsor much of CAG's expanded programming, including peer/mentoring groups and a host of other services to strengthen both the people and the community in which they reside.

The CAG Substance Abuse Deliverance Gospel Choir of DC

Minister Stacie J. Riley and Community Action Group Substance Abuse Deliverance Gospel Choir of Washington, DC The CAG Substance Abuse Deliverance Gospel Choir is comprised of men and women who have been delivered from drugs and alcohol. The members have committed themselves to being ambassadors for Christ in offering hope to the hopeless through their music ministry and personal testimonies. The choir has traveled extensively throughout the Washington, DC metropolitan area, Philadelphia, PA, Chester, PA and was presented last summer at the Gospel Music Workshop of America Convention in New Orleans, LA. Just recently, the choir presented a ?Celebration of Miracles? Gospel Concert at the Lincoln Theatre in Washington, DC. The choir has recently signed a contract to tour the United States in 2002 with a consortium of faith-based organizations in support of the faith-based initiative as proposed by the Bush Administration. Cities scheduled thus far on the 2002 tour are Philadelphia, New Orleans, Cincinnati and Los Angeles. The choir has previously performed at the Kennedy Center and the Washington DC Black Family Reunion.






CAG SUNDAY FELLOWSHIP

Community Action Group (CAG Fellowship)

A weekly celebration of personal affirmations and the enhancement of faith values. This Fellowship gives us the opportunity to come together and reaffirm the positive focus for which we are striving. We welcome all who are willing and want a positive difference in their existence. The Sunday Fellowship meets every week 8:30 am - 1030am.
